Rosie O’Halloran is a Certified Human Factors and Ergonomics Professional and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) practitioner with a strong allied health background. She brings over 35 years of experience in OHS, ergonomics, and occupational rehabilitation, working across a wide range of diverse, complex, and specialised industries.
Rosie has extensive expertise in risk and injury prevention, incident causation investigation, and the management of human factors risk. She applies a systems-thinking approach to develop and implement evidence-based, organisation-wide strategies, processes, tools, and training programs — with a particular focus on preventing musculoskeletal and psychosocial injuries.
A passionate advocate for good design, Rosie O’halloran emphasises the role of thoughtful, inclusive design in hazard mitigation, maximising health and usability, and facilitating universal access for all users. To complement her skills, she has recently completed a Diploma in Access Consulting.
Recognised for her practical, evidence-based approach, Rosie’s work is underpinned by a deep understanding of scientific disciplines including biomechanics, anthropometry, physiology, and psychology, alongside detailed knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards. Rosie is committed to sharing her expertise through coaching and mentoring, teaching at university level, and presenting at health and safety forums and conferences.
Outside work Rosie has a variety of interests including gardening, travel, gym classes, live music, walking her dog and catching up with family and friends. She played and coached netball at a competitive level for many years. She is an avid supporter of AFL and supports the mighty cats!
